Is the Baleh river in Borneo home to a giant snake of mythical proportions?

The nearby villagers seem to think so,especially since several of them claim to have seen the beast with their own eyes.
This story came to me via an email group I belong to,and I had to take a serious pause for thought on this one.
Is it a trick of light?...A log floating down the river?... A pretty decent photoshop job?...or does a 100 ft. monster really lurk just beneath the waters of the Baleh river.
You be the judge! :

  1. The first photo looks like a fake to me. Most folks vover at Cryptomundo thought so, too. The head size compared to the tree size does not make sense. Although the second one does does show promise. There is one over at the Cryptomundo post that is more realistic. But the first one definitely cries out "photoshop" to me. What'd you think, Raven???

  2. You know, the saddest thing of all here is the fact that technology is both a blessing AND a curse, cryptids.
And,because of the misguided intentions of some very adept graphic artists,we have to have an even more critical eye than ever before.
And even more sadly, our feelings almost always sway toward fakery first now.
I have to agree with you. The first photo does look a little TOO good for my taste as well, cryptids.

    Blessings.
